Ready for a new adventure? The Portillo and Inca Lagoon tour is a wonderful experience with panoramic views and a cultural history that you will have to discover on this new adventure.
We begin the journey with the first stop in a place called Chacabuco, 45 minutes from Santiago. This place was the site of the Battle of Chacabuco, a key confrontation for the independence of Chile. You will learn more about this history at that stop.
After finishing our morning coffee, we'll continue until we reach a place steeped in history.
"The Soldier's Leap" tells the story of a patriot pursued by a large army, performing a great leap. It's a story you won't want to miss.
We continue with this great journey and will arrive at a famous place and well-known border crossing, Los Caracoles, known for its 29 curves, which reaches an altitude of 3,200 meters above sea level. We will make this stop so that you can observe the structure and shape of a snail and take some panoramic photos to remember it by.
After leaving the snails we will cross the border into Argentina where we will be close to the line and division between 2 countries.
It's great fun to be in two countries at the same time, where you'll see the Chilean customs and other landscapes.
Next, we will arrive at a well-known and touristy place, Laguna del Inca. This place has a very interesting and passionate history, and you will realize why the lagoon has an emerald blue color.
It is one of the best views you can have on this wonderful tour, and you can also see the oldest ski resort in Chile and South America, which is an important part of the history of world skiing.
To conclude this beautiful tour, enriched by its history and the majestic nature of the Andes, we will find a key location to share a delicious picnic. This will allow us to enjoy, relax, and reflect on how exciting this entire adventure has been. Remember, traveling is about expanding your soul and mind.
